Terms of Service

By accessing or using Hilla (hilla.ai and related services), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

You may need to create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Hilla. If you are using Hilla on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or pose a security risk.

Hilla provides AI-powered project planning tools including board generation, task management, sprint planning, and integrations via CLI, API, and MCP server.

You may use the service for lawful purposes only. You may not use Hilla to generate content that is illegal, harmful, deceptive, or infringes on the rights of others.

You may not reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying models or algorithms. Automated access is permitted only through our official API and CLI tools.

AI features are metered by credits. Free credits are provided upon signup. Additional credits can be purchased via subscriptions.

Subscription fees are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Unused monthly credits roll over up to 2× your monthly allotment. Subscribers may enable pay-as-you-go overflow billing, charged per-credit at their plan rate.

We offer a 7-day refund on subscriptions if you have used less than 20% of your monthly credits. Contact hello@hilla.ai to request a refund.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Price changes do not affect the current billing cycle.

You retain full ownership of all content you create or input into Hilla, including prompts, project plans, tasks, and exported data.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

AI-generated content (plans, suggestions, tasks) created by the service based on your input is owned by you. We claim no ownership over AI outputs generated for your account.

Hilla integrates with third-party services (Linear, GitHub, Stripe, AI providers, etc.). Your use of these integrations is subject to those services’ own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services. Integrations may be modified or discontinued.

When you connect Hilla via MCP to external AI tools, you authorize those tools to access your boards and tasks as permitted by the MCP server configuration.

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

AI outputs are suggestions, not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all generated plans, tasks, and recommendations before acting on them.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hilla and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hilla operates. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
